Beebo Launching The Gap Year Reality Show

If you live in Europe, you're likely well acquainted with Beebo. However, in the States, the number one social networking site overseas is a distant third place, after Myspace and Facebook.

However, if there's one way to capture the obese imagination of the American populace, it's through the reality show. Beebo is teaming video Web video producers, Endemol, to create The Gap Year, a weekly half-hour global "reality" program, which follows six Bebo users over the course of six months, during their "gap year," which, according to The Hollywood Reporter is, "the period between high school and university when European students typically travel abroad."

Casting for the show will begin in December. The finalists will be voted on by Beebo users, ultimately choosing one cast member per country: UK, Ireland, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and the US.

The Gap Year will run from January to June.
